About
Nina Blackwelder has been building the conservative movement in Coweta County for over a decade — from precincts to state committee to the national stage. She got involved in the Ron Paul Revolution in 2012 and has never stopped showing up.
After running for Georgia House District 71 in 2019, she served as a legislative aide at the Georgia State Capitol in 2019–2020, gaining firsthand experience in the mechanics of state government. She simultaneously built her reputation as a campaign strategist — consulting Republican candidates at the state and local level, specializing in high-impact campaigns that deliver results without bloated budgets.
She founded the South Metro Young Republicans, served as Political Director of the Georgia Young Republicans from 2020–2022, and was named Georgia Young Republican of the Year on August 21, 2021. In 2022 she participated in the RNC Black Business Roundtable at the College Park outreach center during Herschel Walker's Georgia U.S. Senate campaign. She chaired the Georgia Young Republicans in 2024, then stepped into her current roles: National Committeewoman for the Young Republicans National Federation and Chair of the Coweta County Republican Party — unanimously elected August 2025.
In January 2026 she participated in a Cabinet-level education roundtable with U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon and Congressman Brian Jack at the Central Educational Center in Newnan — the 8th Cabinet visit to Georgia's 3rd Congressional District, covered by the U.S. Department of Education.
She sits on the board of Bridging the Gap in Newnan, serves as Vice President of the Newnan Kiwanis Club, and is a Georgia State Committee Member. Her two children both graduated from Northgate High School.
